So, if I decided to put up the “Live At Nerdapalooza!! 2011” album early, like tonight at midnight (EST), would you be mad? Or less inclined to pick up a physical copy (where a portion of the proceeds go to Nerdapalooza-related children’s charities)?
Last night, I was on The Adequate Pipe radio show on WPRK. You can listen to a lo-fi stream of the episode here, although only the first two hours were captured. Talking starts about 17 minutes in, and in the second hour, there are exclusive premieres of new recordings, plus I play a few songs live in the studio that you probably weren’t expecting to hear!

Tonight, I’ll be on The Adequate Pipe radio show on WPRK, 91.5 FM in Orlando. Show starts at 1 AM EST, and I’ll be doing the interview thang, talking about upcoming shows (including Nerdapalooza!!and more), and… premiering a roughly mixed track from my upcoming album “Popular Music”. Oh, and I’ll bring my guitar, too! Listen live worldwide at wprkdj.org!

Going to Nerdapalooza!!? I’ll be playing on Saturday, August 4th on The Beacham stage at 1:20 PM. Don’t be late? Here’s the rest of the schedule, too!
For two days only, the vinyl edition of “RetroLowFi” is on sale for only $15 bucks.
That’s 32 songs of my early, lo-fi songs on two translucent red LP’s. After Friday night, it goes back to full price! Get it while it’s holy (i.e.: order it here)!

RIP Dennis Flemion. I want so badly to believe that this is a hoax, because I don’t want to live in a world without The Frogs. Without them paving the way, it’d be pretty hard to imagine an avenue for me to do the Marc With a C thing, and if I hadn’t heard them, I might have gone down a totally different path. We’ll miss you, Dennis. Thank for the tunes.
The Tuts: Last night at The Windmill, Brixton →
There’s no fucking excuse. All of this over a drink? Disgusting. Boycott The Windmill in Brixton.

This is what happened. We played the Indietracks warm up show for the wonderful Trev of Oddbox Records. After we finished playing we were meeting and greeting some lovely people and selling a few CDs when suddenly this large 50-something year old man approaches Nadia (our singer) and...
I don’t care what year you say it is, I just bought a cassette boombox for stage usage anyways.

In 2010, I released an album called Pop! Pop! Pop!. In some ways, it was sort of my own love letter to all that I loved about college radio. The music was recorded at 32-bits, and when it came time to dither the results to a 16-bit version for CD and mp3, it just never went right, The bottom end was always cut off, and it sounded wildly out of phase and hugely sibilant. I tried a ton of tricks...
shadedspriter asked: a Documentary "Quadrophenia: Can You See the Real Me?" has just come out. It is on the BBC iPlayer currently for people in the UK and you can find it elsewhere as well. It contains "unseen archive [footage] and in-depth interviews from Townshend, Roger Daltrey, Keith Moon, John Entwistle and those in the studio and behind the lens who made the album and thirty page photo booklet....
